If you're planning on using the oven, bring your own stuff. Not even a flat tray in the unit. There were plenty of utensils and crockery.

confusing arrival as you had to access from the back door, which was not lit or easy to find.

The heater was too much for the circuit board and kept tripping the surge protector. Thankfully we weren't planning on watching tv as it couldn't handle being plugged in at the same time as the heated was on.

Location was great and it was great to walk down to a random jetty a hundred metres away. There was a lady on site who was gracious and ever so helpful. Still, my recommendation is to find somewhere else to stay.

The seats were comfortable enough. There was a double bed, which is always fun when you're 6'3 and may have contributed to my general feelings about the place.

Even in the middle of winter we had a ridiculous problem with ants. Like really bad. Seriously, put some bait down or something.

We benefited from a fantastic winter deal so the price was somewhat right. If it wasn't for the winter deal we negotiated the rustic three star accommodation would have been over priced. That being said we met the very helpful and local knowledge proud Toni who made our stay comfortable with clean sheets and towels. An added bonus of gift basket containing excellent local wines - we enjoyed that much. The accommodation ( building 4) is rustic with plumbing issues in the shower but that being said we enjoyed the proximity to town and fantastic river walks. Once we settled in we spent our days in nature and our evenings spent cuddling to keep warm. We thoroughly enjoyed Augusta and its wildflowers and beaches. Riverside cottage #4 does require a serious upgrade but in its rustic flair a certain charm of old Australia, 1950's style apparently sealed fibro (could be blue) construction neatly painted warn and in some places dank older type lino ( could be blue) with patches of healthy black mold throughout the bathroom.

Very dirty, for some reason there were 2 tv's(obviously 1 never worked!). Suppose to be kid friendly, cords going everywhere.Milk frother cord was taped up with electrical tape! Also there was a 1 inch gap underneath door for cold draft.

Just simple things like doors getting stuck on the floor sum up the place.

Pleasing elevated views of the river, surrounded by natural bushland, and proximal access to the river and town.

The most overpriced budget accommodation. We paid $185 to stay one night with our dog. Prior to the trip I sent numerous emails about our expected check in time yet when we arrived the cottage wasn't ready. Cottage was old, not hygenic. Fireplace great but huge gap in casing which was dangerous. To her credit the onsite caretaker was lovely and handled our upset barking pooch when we out for a short time. Worth $100 a night.

Stayed 3 nights. Won't be staying there again. Really draughty. Couldn't get the second bedroom warm, while the main bedroom and living area were roasting hot once we lit the fire. Don't think of staying in Winter if you aren't going to do a fire - the heater there is woefully insufficient just for the living area.
